Glad you solved the issue. We placed yet another inquiry with the developers. They've been focusing on the fan so far.
Great! Please update us here after few days of usage so that any of us can recommend this tentative fix confidently to whoever experiencing the same issue. Enjoy!
Further to the posts above, disabling the eMMC does seem to fix the bluescreen issue. My Udoo has now been running and stable for a couple of days. Thanks for all the help. Now all I need is a way to quieten the fan
My system reboots at least daily. Will try disabling eMMC to see if it helps. Some reboots are triggered by BugCheck occurring after these TPM events, wonder if its related with the improper implementation of TPM.
Hi, I had boot loop issues after repeatedly changing and saving settings in the BIOS at the beginning adjusting PWM fan speed and temperature. I unplugged the RTC-battery. No issues ever since. Idk if this will help you but maybe it is worth a try. I would turn off the board and disconnect power before doing that, though. Good luck!
Have you tried disabling the eMMC drive in Windows Device Manager? There have been many reports that this can stop BSOD occurring.
Well the Udoo was working fine for a whole 2weeks after I made the changes above and disabled eMMC, but today the bluescreen has reappeared with DRIVER STATE POWER FAILURE. So there would still appear to be another underlying problem. Eva/Udoo team is anyone actively looking into the root cause problem? Thanks
Did you try to change power settings of Wifi or Graphics? From https://forums.tomshardware.com/faq/fix-windows-10-driver-power-state-failure-error.2752242/
Thanks waltervl. Checked this and I had power saving off, and no wifi as I am using ethernet. However just noticed that when Windows 10 Pro updated to version 1909 this week on my PC it very helpfully seems to have enabled the eMMC automatically! I have now disabled again this and hope it fixes the problem. In case anyone else gets the problem suddenly reoccuring. Udoo team - if you make more Bolts just remove the eMMC chips and also on any future designs. The capacity is uselessly small and they just seem to cause problems!
For an embedded system an EMMC could be very helpfull. And it look like Windows is causing an issue here. There is no issue with linux
Hi all, it's been a while since I had a blue screen. Using the latest release driver package (19.40.01.08r) from AMD found here: https://www.amd.com/en/support/embe...rocessors/v-series-v1000-radeon-vega-graphics I've been running this driver package since day of release and it looks like everything is working properly on my end. SW Info: Windows 10 Version 1909 (Build 18363.592) HW Info: UDOO Bolt V8 32GB (2x16GB GSkill F4-2400C16-16GRS) HP SSD EX900 250GB NVMe Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 (M.2 Slot) Dell 130W Power Supply with jack adapter 2x DELL P2217H monitors on HDMI (using the USB3 hubs onboard both monitors)
I'm having the same problem. Upgrading the drivers hasn't helped. Ubuntu runs without problem, but Win10 dies several times a day.
did you see answer nr 49 in this thread about disabling emmc? https://www.udoo.org/forum/threads/regular-bluescreen.27839/page-3#post-57296
