Ok, so I ordered the BLU, but no cables were included. I assume there's a standard cable, but when I look on amazon, they want $10US each and packs of 4 (so $40US for 4 8cm 4 wire cables). I asked UDOO support and was told: <quote> I'm sorry, there is no cable available for UDOO Blu/Blu Sense for customers. The unit has a JTAG connector and that's used for service use only. </quote> I'm hoping this is a misunderstanding? I read this as 'sorry, you can't actually hook it up to anything, it's actually a paperweight.' Does this use the OSEPP connector? I've not used I2C or Bricks before.
I think they misunderstood you. Did you ask for a udoo brick cable? This is the only cable that can be attached to the BLU.
I wasn't that specific, I just asked for a cable. I may be misunderstanding, though. I assumed that the i2c would be used to attach to a udoo x86 for control and programming, but reading a third party article, it looks like you use Bluetooth?
I suppose you already found it but you can upload a new firmware through an app https://www.udoo.org/docs-blu/BLE_Libraries_and_Tools/UDOO_BLU_Manager_Android_App.html It is also possible to upload through a serial interface https://www.udoo.org/docs-blu/BLE_Firmware/Firmware_Update_(Serial).html Main thing is to check the documentation first: https://www.udoo.org/docs-blu
