Hi UDOOers,

here’s the full infographic “UDOO and the others, a close comparison. Benchmark about the average usage in DIY and EDU fields”. The aim is to compare UDOO Dual & Quad with the other top boards available on market:

[checklist icon=”check” iconcolor=”#ffffff” circle=”yes”]

  • Beagle Bone Black
  • Wandboard Dual & Quad
  • Odroid X2
  • Raspberry Pi Model b

The comparison is focused on power, pricing, limits and operating system support. Click on the image below to see the full infographic.

I found you can map the gpio pins from imx6 to Arduio in a human readable way

take a look at this scrip

Some suggestions / buglets: In the limits you have Beaglebone black list as single core, then later cann out that there’s no dual processor. In the limits for Wanboard dual you say there’s no dual core available. You might also include the PCDuino boards, they’re the closest competitor I’ve seen for my use case.

This is mostly not a fair comparison. it is all based on someones requirement. For the purpose I am using raspberry PI, I don’t really need multiple USB ports and few other accessories mentioned. So in the same cost I can buy 3 RPis. In fact I did already. is there anything really cost effective? I would love to try one. But not at this cost.

Good start and excellent development, although I ran out of ram compiling a significant enterprise level application. Did you look at the CuBox by SolidRun (http://www.solid-run.com/cubox) during your review? It has recently been upgraded to use the same quad-core i.MX6 processor. It has 2GB of memory and an IR remote. I for one would appreciate the UDOO to be upgraded to 4GB of memory with a UHS-II (U3 microSD card) providing 156MB/s to 312MB/s bandwidth and a significant performance hit. This certainly has the potential to evolve.

Has anyone considered a cluster configuration?
